THE RUPERT REPORT

I am happy to report that Rupert (see VISITORS article) has recovered enough to venture forth into the world again. His wounds have pretty much healed and his fur is beginning to grow back in. His limp, though still noticeable, is far less pronounced and (presumably) less painful.

Last week proved to be the turning point for this little guy. As he began to explore our back garden a little more each day we knew it would not be long before he moved on. Then, one day, he was gone. Rupert did return a couple of times, probably hoping to find more cat food waiting for him (sorry, Rupert) but wandered off again when he realized he would have to find his own food from now on. Maybe he has a new home now, or has gone back to his old home. Either way, we wish him well, and hope he has a safe and healthy life. And hope he stays off the roads!
